Sisters in Christ

You are my sister, this I know, for the Father tells me so.
Your loving kindness in my life has been to me a sacrifice.
You took the time to help me through the terrible pain that I once knew.
This sisterhood that we do share shows how much our God does care.
You are my sister, this I know, for the Father tells me so.
He sent to us His perfect plan so we could stand here hand in hand.
But more amazing is His love that changed our hearts to be as one.
He sent you to me in his name and never will I be the same.
You are my sister, this I know, for the Father tells me so.
Thank you for the love you have shown so the Father can be known.
It's in all the little things that we do glimpse what heaven brings---
A crown of glory from above to reward a sister's love.
You are my sister, this I know, for the Father tells me so.
His precious Son did pay the price, so we could be sisters in Christ!

The circle sponsored a church-wide Thanksgiving Mission Meal. Ladies of the church cooked turkey and all the trimmings and delivered 136 meals to shut-ins and needy families. During the year, the circle sponsored a Mission Friend Ministry to all widowed ladies in the church. Each circle member selected a lady in the church to be her special friend throughout the year and remembered her with special treats, cards, flower, etc. especially on her birthday and holidays. All Mission Friend ladies were honored with a Christmas dinner party at Chatter’s Restaurant on December 10th. Santa Claus also attended the party. The group played Dirty Santa for which circle members furnished all the gifts.

The Weslyan Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month, with no meeting in July and August. The UMW program book is used and the Prayer Calendar. We were in charge of the October Praise and Prayer Breakfast and had Glenda Morgan, Dublin District UMW President as speaker. We help in all bereavement meals, furnishing desserts and helping with the serving. Members of the group have attended most of the out of town meetings.

Our officers are:
Leader: Florine Griggers
Assistant Leader/Treasurer: Loraine Robbins
Secretary: Merle Wilkes
